Subject to stock availability. We try to maintain accurate stock counts on our website, but from time-to-time, there may be a stock discrepancy, and we will not be able to fulfil all your items at the time of purchase. In this instance, our standard procedure is to contact you about whether you would prefer for us to dispatch the items separately (at an additional cost), await restocking, or to process a refund.
Shipping costs are calculated during checkout based on weight, dimensions and destination of the items in the order. Payment for shipping will be collected with the purchase. In rare cases, we may need to pass on an additional charge, in this case we will contact you to arrange either payment or cancellation & refund of your order.
We will happily accept returns due to change of mind as long as a request to return is received by us within 60 days of receipt of item and are returned to us in the original packaging, unused and resellable condition. Return shipping will be paid at your expense, and you will be required to arrange your shipping. We will notify you once this has been completed through email. We will refund the value of the goods returned but will NOT refund the cost of any shipping paid.
Buxtons will happily honour any valid warranty claims, provided a request is submitted within 90 days of receipt of items. Customers will be required to pre-pay the return shipping; however we will reimburse you upon successful warranty claim. Upon return receipt of items for a warranty claim, you can expect Buxtons to process your warranty claim within seven days. Once a warranty claim is confirmed, you will receive the choice of:
(a) refund to your payment method
(b) a refund in-store credit
(c) a replacement item sent to you (if stock is available)
Orders placed before 03 PM (BST/GMT) will be dispatched the same day, otherwise, within the next business day. Our warehouse operates Monday - Friday during standard business hours, except on bank holidays at which time the warehouse will be closed. In these instances, we take steps to ensure shipment delays will be kept to a minimum.
If an item is out of stock, we will wait for it to be available before dispatching your order. Existing items in the order will be reserved while we await this item.
If the delivery time has exceeded the forecasted time, please contact us so that we can conduct an investigation.
If you find a parcel is damaged in-transit, if possible, please reject the package from the courier and get in touch with our customer service. If the parcel has been delivered without you being present, please contact customer service with the next steps.
We will process a refund or replacement as soon as the courier has conducted an investigation and deemed the parcel lost.
Import duties and taxes for international shipments may be liable to be paid upon arrival in the destination country. This varies by country, and Buxtons encourage you to be aware of these potential costs before placing an order with us. If you refuse to pay duties and taxes upon arrival at your destination country, the goods will be returned to Buxtons at the customer's expense, and the customer will receive a refund for the value of goods paid, minus the cost of the return shipping. The cost of the initial shipping will not be refunded.
If you change your mind before you have received your order, we can accept cancellations at any time before the order has been dispatched. If an order has already been shipped, please refer to our refund policy.
Buxton’s offer free next working day delivery on orders over £75 ex. VAT (£90 incl. VAT) for the UK Mainland (excluding the Highlands and Islands). We also offer a Royal Mail service for smaller items which will be 1-2 working days.
Same Day Despatch
Orders placed before 3 pm are dispatched the same working day. After this time, orders are sent out the following working day. Orders received during weekends or on Bank Holidays will be processed on the next working day.
Please note all orders placed on a Friday will arrive the following Monday. However, you can purchase Saturday delivery for an additional charge.
Postage Costs Excluding the Highlands and Islands
Non-Mainland UK destinations will have a higher delivery charge and will be a two-day service. Royal Mail does not charge extra for Non-mainland areas.
DPD require a signature on receipt, and if you are not available to accept the delivery on two attempts, you will be required to cover any extra costs for redelivery. We can pass on your special delivery instructions to the courier if you are not in to receive your items, for example, leave with a neighbour, but in these circumstances, we are not responsible for any loss or damage. If you leave an email or phone number the courier, we will be able to offer you alternative delivery times.
If you are unavailable when Royal Mail tries to deliver your order, they’ll leave a ‘something for you' card. The recipient can then collect the item from their local Customer Service Point or arrange a redelivery. Repeat failures of acceptance will require an additional delivery charge.
Any items which are over 1.2m in length will have an extra charge from our carriers, and these include rakes, pole saws and strimmers. This additional charge will be indicated clearly on the website pages and in the shopping basket.
Buxtons can ship to most countries. With our shipping calculator in the basket, you can find the delivery price by entering your address. If it does not appear, you can email us at [email protected] for a quote. Please note that if a large number of items are purchased, then we might have to contact you to cover the cost.
Handheld machinery below 1.2m in length is despatched at the same charge as standard parcels. For walk-behind and ride-on machinery, we offer delivery via our free white glove service. This service is only available for deliveries within 30 miles of our shop, and it entitles the purchaser to receive their machine fully assembled, fuelled, oiled and ready to work. The machine is delivered by our staff and in our own vehicles, when the machine is delivered, it is handed over with full instruction and demonstration. In the unlikely circumstances there were any problems with your machine, a member of staff will come out to process a repair or rectification.
STIHL Hand Over Policy
We supply and stock a wide range of STIHL products, most of which you can purchase online. However, STIHL restricts the shipping of a selected range of their products, which is their ‘Safety Hand-over Policy’ which STIHL dealers need to abide by.
STIHL’s policy allows the dealer to give their best customer service and handover the machine safely and with ease. The restricted items will be marked out on our website and unavailable to purchase outside the 30-mile radius of our showroom. However, if you live within the 30-mile radius, we can deliver these items to you for free with advice. Once ordered, we will contact yourself for a date which is convenient for you.
