Stihl have recently changed the way in which they allow dealers to supply their products. For this reason we can currently not able to supply Stihl products through our website.

Stihl have requested that all their products be sold with a face-to-face handover in order to ensure that customers get specialist advice and to cover all safety issues (even if this product is a bar cover or a toy brushcutter or key ring). Buxtons are an approved Stihl dealer and can only supply Stihl products via our carrier service to experienced existing customers and professional users.

Despite Stihl bringing out the X-Fit clothing range earlier this year, HiFlex is still our most popular chainsaw protective clothing range. And the HiFlex clothing range has had two new additions this year with Type A Chainsaw trousers and Type C Class 2 chainsaw trousers being added.

Many experienced tree surgeons seem to be turning to Type A over Type C work trousers, so Stihl bringing out Hiflex Type A is great news. These chainsaw trousers have the same great look as the Type C but with no rear padding they are going to be cooler in summer and that bit more flexible.

The addition of new Class 2 Chainsaw Trousers is also welcomed by Arborists with faster running chainsaws. If your saw runs faster than 20 m/s then these Class 2 HiFlex Chainsaw Trousers are a great option. They have the same great HiFlex Design and feel with that extra class 2 chainsaw protection.

It’s not a very exciting topic, but one of the jewels in our crown in Buxtons, and something we are really proud of, is the size of our stock rooms. The reason we are proud of the size of our stock is two fold.

If you haven't been in to our Staffordshire store recently then you might not have seen our new range of Stein Safety Helmets. They are designed specifically for Arborists and Tree Surgeons. The innovative design of the helmet is so good one user said,

'...if a genuine, working Arborist didn’t have a hand in the design of this helmet then whoever’s behind it got dam lucky!'

The helmet has a number of great features that help the climbing arborist stay comfortable and protected during the working day.

• 10 Air Intakes that keep the head cool. All the air intakes are fitted with a protective grille.
• UP-n-Down Technology, which is a rapid size adjustment system. The 'Up-n-down' bit refers to the fact that you can adjust the frame both in terms of inclination and height. The rapid element is that there is size adjustment even with the helmet fastened on the head, by either turning the wheel or by pushing the two rubber coated flaps towards the centre.
