What is the Difference Between Type A and Type C Chainsaw Trousers?

We get quite a lot of questions through our website regarding the difference between Type A and Type C Chainsaw Trousers.
The difference is the areas on the chainsaw trousers that have cut protection on them. With Type A only the front and sides of the legs are protected, but with Type C the back of the leg is also protected.
Rear leg protection is particularly important if you are using your chainsaw whilst climbing, but if you are only using a chainsaw on the ground then you may feel that back leg protection is not as important.
