Using this expertise gained from a history accomplishing absolute safety, Petzl's AM D ball lock system carabiner automatically locks the gate, only allowing you to unlock once the safety button is pressed and the sleeve is turned.

Also constructed of high-strength aluminium for strength and durability, the Petzl William ball lock can be opened and closed with one hand, and can even be operated with gloves on. To unlock the gate, the green ball on the sleeve is pressed and the sleeve is twisted. You can also quickly check the sleeve is locked when the green ball is visible.
